Our Contests
In the past year, we've run several competitive game design challenges centered around Fortnite Creative and Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN).
The Haunted House
In partnership with Kent District Library, we offered a series of in-person workshops where students learned how to design a simple escape room in Fortnite Creative.
From there, we encouraged them to take their creations to the next level, transforming their escape rooms into a playable haunted house. We invited students to compete head-to-head in a district-wide game design competition to see who could create the most thrilling experience.

The Summer Games
Inspired by the excitement of the 2024 Summer Games, this Fortnite design contest challenged students to tackle three unique tasks: design an epic opening ceremony, recreate a real-world sporting event, and invent a brand-new sport exclusive to Fortnite.
Developed in collaboration with NASEF, this global challenge attracted over 200 registrations from 20 countries, showcasing the incredible talent and imagination of young creators worldwide.

Wildfire Education
The Silicon Valley start-up Next Vista for Learning, in partnership CAL FIRE, was seeking innovative methods for inspiring students to create engaging educational media related to wildfire education and prevention.
To support this effort, we challenged a team of students to design and create an engaging wildfire-based multiplayer game for Fortnite using UEFN.
The result is Wild Fire, a high-energy game that reinforces key principles in wildfire prevention.
